Glossary.

Stacked — Cut longer than the inseam so the fabric bunches — 'stacks' — over the sneaker. The defining streetwear silhouette.

Skinny — A sharp, tapered line from hip to ankle, usually with stretch for comfort.

Baggy — Relaxed through seat and leg. The dominant youth silhouette of the moment.

Flare — Fitted through the thigh with a kick-out from the knee. Fast-growing, differentiated lane.

Jogger — Denim with a tapered leg and cuffed ankle — sneaker-friendly comfort.

Straight / Regular — A classic straight profile from waist to hem. The timeless everyday fit.

Raw denim — Unwashed after dyeing — deep, uniform indigo that fades uniquely to the wearer over time.

Stone wash — Tumbled with abrasive stones for a softened, lived-in look and feel.

Vintage wash — Processed to look naturally worn and faded from the first wear — nostalgia in a finish.

Waxed / coated — A coating applied over the denim for a slick, leather-like sheen. Sharp and fashion-forward.

Ice / light blue — Heavily lightened washes — bright, summery statement finishes.

Jet black — Deep, even black — the most versatile second colorway in any line.

Waistband patch — The leather patch at the back waist — the signature branding spot on any jean. On Express orders, your name or logo is laser-stamped here.

Hang tag — The tag attached to the product at retail. Laser-engraved with your brand on Express orders.

Interior tag — Size, care and brand labeling inside the waistband — what the customer sees every time they dress.

Rivets & hardware — The metal buttons and rivets reinforcing stress points — they can carry a brand name too.

First article — The first finished piece of a production run, photographed and sent for the customer's approval before the rest is made. Standard on every YourJean Express order.

MOQ (minimum order quantity) — The smallest order a manufacturer accepts. Traditional denim MOQs run 100–500+ units; YourJean's Express program is 1 piece, and Customs is 100 per style / 300 total.

Private label — A manufacturer produces the goods; your brand goes on them — patch, tags and labels — and you sell them as your own product.

Tech pack — The blueprint of a garment: measurements, materials, construction details and branding placements a factory builds from. Don't have one? The Customs design phase creates it with you.

Sample — A single made piece used to evaluate fit, wash and construction before production. In Customs: $250 per piece, about a month, credited back in full on your production order.

Quality control (QC) — Inspection of finished goods against the approved spec — every YourJean sample and production run is checked before it ships.

Volume / tier pricing — Per-piece pricing that drops automatically at quantity thresholds — the reorder is always more profitable than the first order.

Deposit (30/70) — The standard Customs payment structure: 30% after invoice to start bulk production, 70% before your finished goods ship from the port.

Lead time — Total time from order to delivery. Express: about a week. Customs: 8–16 weeks end to end.
